NOTD: Cherry Delight!

So. This NOTD was inspired by the blog background. X)

I did the tape technique for these nails to get perfectly straight lines. One problem I found doing this technique was that when I lifted the tape up, it ripped off some of the white nail polish underneath. Since I had put multiple coats, it didn’t seem to make much of a difference when I applied top coat. Also, I found that I had to really press onto the tape to make sure that it didn’t lift up (otherwise the nail polish would go underneath and no more perfect line :/).

It was sort of a dilemma. The stickier the tape was, the more chance of it ripping up some of the white nail polish, but the less sticky it was, the greater chance it had to let nail polish leak underneath.

Hehehehehe 🙂

For the cherries I just dotted the red on, put some white highlights with a smaller dotting tool, and then drew the stems on with a small paintbrush.

Style sense, and swag!

  1. Make the tape less tacky by sticking and unsticking it to your jeans/top and wait until the base-coat is completely dry, then when you apply your next layer, remove the tape ASAP, to stop the tape pulling up the base coat. x
